Projects

My work usually revolves around projects. I like to see things done start-to-finish, often with a goal of restoring or upgrading some kind of system – whether that be a computer or a motor vehicle. Some current and recent projects in my stack are presented here.

Tech Projects

• Power Macintosh 5200/75LC Refit – powers on but does not boot (fully), still determining the cause
• Intellivision II Refit – found out there was nothing wrong with it! Just has darkened plastic due to apparent high heat exposure
• PlayStation 4 – I purchased half a dozen PS4s of various revisions with minor or major issues, such as no power or video
• Xbox 360 – I also purchased half a dozen Xboxes and have sold off some, keeping at least 1 for testing. Also fixed a “free” Xbox One that had a broken interface ribbon

In addition I’ve started picking up broken handheld systems like Sega’s Game Gear or different Nintendo GameBoy versions.

Auto Projects

• S10 V8 swap & restoration (completed)
  + This project started when a friend gave me an old 350 motor from a Chevelle to upgrade my V6 S10
  + It took 3-5 years to complete the major work, with lots of little details along the way
  + Video on my personal YouTube page covers some of the progress
• 1995 Camaro restoration (in progress)
  + Vehicle has been in my family since 1999, and in my possession about half that time so far
  + Last year of the 3.4L 60° degree V6 Camaros & Firebirds
  + Has some light power upgrades but one day I would like to tune for max performance
  + Currently restoring chassis, suspension, and comfort components
• 1995 Mercruiser (V6) Regal sport boat
  + Boat is in good shape but needs some kind of work on the linkage between the throttle & motor
  + Could also use a good detail
