Welcome to my website, home of my personal portfolio and other projects.

Home of games, music, electronics, and automotive projects.

In 2024 I opened a video games and retro electronics resale store, where I started buying and selling a lot of random items within some very broad categories. I wanted to do video games, but this space is very competitive and unfortunately full of shady characters (along with a lot of really great people, too!). So that led me to include vintage computer stuff and electronics, and other things I might run across that have value and I know something about – car parts, music equipment, certain collectible type things.

But I didn’t want to go too broad, and become an “everything reseller.” Although a bit of that is OK, if I can pay my basic bills by doing so. Ultimately, I want to be doing something other than reselling, and this is more of a leg-up into the work I’d really rather do.

Items are now for sale on eBay, with products being added here. I also opened a Poshmark store around the same time, but haven’t yet devoted a lot of attention to it. To date I’ve had 3 sales, but that’s with only around 20 products listed, vs. eBay where I have nearly 1,000. Speaking of eBay, I haven’t been happy with the way they (don’t) support me as a seller. I’ve been cheated by several customers, with ample proof, and no matter how I report it or if I get someone on the phone, they don’t back me up. So that makes me inclined to move my attention elsewhere, including on Standard Excellence.net. For now at least.

In the long run, my desire is actually to be developing and producing video games, sharing stories and fun with the world. But by doing this, I get to sample a lot of games, I stay within my chosen field, and I’m sort of automatically aware of trends in design and gameplay. In the last 6 months (as of Feb 2026) I’ve also started streaming on Twitch.tv, with a mixture of games there, including the mostly retro games I deal with. Not to mention, I occasionally stream my dev work on the game(s) I’m working on.

Hopefully, these 3 or more channels will grow together and provide the basis of my income, then I can focus more fully on building a proper game studio.

More on this, as it develops.
