Oklahoma Republican Party LogoThe Oklahoma Republican Party announced today that it is postponing its party dinner scheduled for this Saturday due to weather forecasts of winter storms and dangerous travel. The following statement was issued this afternoon:

Dear Fellow Republicans,

We regret that we will be postponing the “Renewing the American Dream” event with Governor Mike Huckabee due to the forecast of inclement weather throughout the week. The Oklahoma Republican Party will reschedule the Renewing the American Dream event in Tulsa, and we will publicize those new details as they are confirmed.

We want to thank everyone for their support, and we look forward to seeing you at our candidate and activist trainings and the Rally in April!

The dinner, originally scheduled for 5:30 PM on February 8th, was to be held at the Renaissance Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Admission prices ranged from $75 individual tickets to $6,000 platinum sponsorships.

No date of reschedule has been released, and the reminder of a meetings in April might indicate the postponement could be more than a few weeks.
